Kathiyawadi crunch, fried live in front of you — and a chai so good we had to say it twice.

No heat lamps. No yesterday's batch. Just besan, fire and timing — the way Kathiyawad has always done it.

One chai is never enough. The first is for the conversation. The second is for the conversation you didn't plan to have. So we put it in our name — twice.
Our house pour. Slow-boiled, full-bodied and royally spiced.
Cardamom-sweet and light. The everyday cutting.
Fresh ginger and mint. The new favourite.
Frothy, milky — for the friend who “doesn't drink chai.”

Seating under string lights and prayer flags on VIP Road, plus an AC area. Sail canopies, mustard walls, terracotta floors, a tunnel of golden arches — and table space for every “bas 10 minute” that turns into two hours.

Early chai before work. Late bhajiya after everything. We've got you covered.
VESU, SURAT — On 10 September 2026, a stove on VIP Road was lit and the neighbourhood's evening plans quietly rearranged themselves. Chai Chai Co. — a Gujarati live cafe — had opened its doors, beside Nandini 3.
The idea is disarmingly simple. Take the snacks Gujarat grew up on — bhajiya, gota, fafda, gathiya, thepla, jalebi — and make them the way they're meant to be eaten: hot and fresh, the bhajiyas fried right in front of you, with a glass of chai you'll want to order twice.
Its roots run to Kathiyawad. It opens twice a day: 7 to 11 in the morning, then 4 in the afternoon till 2 at night. Its regulars, sources confirm, are already planning their second visit before finishing the first plate.

Why we say “chai” twice
Because nobody in Gujarat has ever said “ek chai” and meant it. One for now, one for the story that comes after. Our name is simply honest about it.
“If you never try our bhajiyas, you'll never know they're the best in town.”

LOST: Self-control. Last seen near the Assorted Bhajiya Platter.
FOUND: The best bhajiyas in Surat. Beside Nandini 3, VIP Road, Vesu.
NOTICE: “Bas thodu j” is not a portion size.
